The Danish Problem Gambling Committee (DPGC) processes personal data about you in connection with your opportunity to apply for research funding through the DPGC. By applying for research funding, you consent to DPGC processing your data. You are therefore provided with this information to help you understand what data is being processed, the purposes of the processing, and more.

  • To enable you to apply for research funding within the DPGC's four focus areas
  • To enable the DPGC to disburse funds to your project
  • For the DPGC’s accounting and internal reporting purposes

We receive the information directly from you.

Personal data we process

We process the following general personal data about you:

Identification information such as name, address, phone number, position, institution, department, and email address, and in special cases, CPR number for refunds, reimbursements, and disbursement of research funds.

Recipients or categories of recipients

We may disclose or transfer your personal data to the following recipients:

  • Aarhus University, AU HE Finance
  • Selected members of the independent funding committee

The disclosure includes the following personal data about research funding applicants:

  • Identification information including name, address, phone number, position, institution, department, and email address, and in special cases, CPR number for refunds, reimbursements, and disbursement of research funds.

Storage of your personal data

We store your personal data as long as it is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected. Your information is generally deleted at least 5 years after your application, unless there are accounting or legal reasons that require a longer retention period.

Transfers to recipients in third countries, including international organizations

We do not transfer your personal data to recipients outside the EU and EEA.

Automated decision-making, including profiling

We do not use automated decision-making in connection with the processing of your data.
